Sudan's Al-Hilal Asks CAF to Postpone AS FAR vs Berkane Clash

Sudanese football club Al-Hilal has submitted an urgent request to the appeals committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), seeking the postponement of the match between Renaissance Berkane and AS FAR, scheduled for next Saturday.

In its correspondence, Al-Hilal stated that it had relied on several articles of the disciplinary committee's regulations, stressing that holding the match on its set date could cause significant harm to its interests, particularly if CAF were to later issue a ruling in its favour regarding the complaint it had filed.

This escalation comes at a sensitive stage of the continental competition, as observers await the appeals committee's decision, which could have a direct impact on the scheduling of the fixture and on the course of the tournament, pending the official verdict from the body that governs African football.
