A delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) held an important meeting on Wednesday with the "Pamoja" delegation in charge of organizing the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
The "Pamoja" delegation includes a number of prominent figures, among them ministers and football officials from the three countries, as well as the presidents of the national federations: Hussein Mohammed for Kenya, Wallace Karia for Tanzania and Moses Magogo for Uganda.
On the other side, the CAF delegation is led by acting Secretary General Samson Adamu, with the meeting forming part of efforts to monitor the progress of the organizational and logistical preparations for the upcoming continental tournament.
The meeting is expected to be an important step in coordinating efforts between all parties and ensuring the readiness of the host nations to deliver a standout edition of AFCON, amid the challenges of an event jointly organized by three countries for the first time in the competition's history.
