Fouzi Lekjaa Sends Condolences After the Death of Former Federation President Ali Fassi Fihri

Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has extended, on his own behalf and on behalf of all members of the executive committee, his deepest condolences and sincerest sympathy to the family of the late Ali Fassi Fihri and to the entire national football community, following his passing, which represents a great loss for the Moroccan sporting scene.
The late Ali Fassi Fihri passed away on Sunday, 10 May 2026, after a career filled with dedication in the service of national football. He had previously served as president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation during the period between 2009 and 2013, a stage during which he contributed to managing the affairs of national football under delicate circumstances.
On this painful occasion, Fouzi Lekjaa praised the distinguished services rendered by the deceased to Moroccan football, stressing that his departure represents the loss of one of the figures who left their mark on the national sporting landscape.
The Federation president concluded his message of condolences by praying for the deceased to receive mercy and forgiveness, that God may envelop him in His vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace, in accordance with the divine words: "Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed, to Him we shall return."
