Professional League Bans Away Fans From Travelling for the Next Round

Following the unsporting incidents witnessed at some national stadiums, foremost among them the match between AS FAR and Raja played yesterday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah complex, which saw regrettable scenes, the National Professional Football League has announced the adoption of a set of precautionary measures, based on the conclusions of the meeting held this Friday with the participation of the various stakeholders in national football.

These measures include no longer allocating stands or areas to the away team's fans, no longer putting on sale tickets intended for the visiting team's supporters, as well as banning the travel of visiting fans during the next round.

These decisions fall within the framework of ensuring the smooth running of the competitions and strengthening safety and security conditions inside the stadiums, so as to guarantee the protection of the various components of the game and preserve a sporting atmosphere founded on respect and fair competition.

The National Professional Football League also called on all stakeholders, foremost among them the fans, to show a sense of responsibility and positive engagement, in order to help cement an honourable image reflecting the standing reached by national football and embodying its civilised dimension.
