Manchester City Show Strong Interest in Azzedine Ounahi After His La Liga Form

Spanish press reports have revealed growing interest from English club Manchester City in signing Morocco international Azzedine Ounahi, who has been shining this season with Spanish side Girona.
According to the same sources, the English club's management is closely monitoring Ounahi's development, after he delivered strong performances in the Spanish league, putting him among the candidates to replace the departing Portuguese star Bernardo Silva.
Ounahi is enjoying a bright spell in his career, having become one of the key figures in Girona's lineup, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists in 18 La Liga matches, in addition to claiming several man-of-the-match awards, which reflects his major influence within the team.
Girona and Manchester City belonging to the same group, the City Football Group, is a factor that could ease the completion of the deal, especially as the release clause in the player's contract is estimated at around 20 million euros.
Ounahi had gone through a difficult period with France's Olympique de Marseille, before regaining his spark during his loan spell at Greece's Panathinaikos, then confirming his strong return this season in La Liga.
