National League Announces New Suspension of the Professional Championship

The National Professional Football League announced on Tuesday the suspension of the second-division professional championship, from April 11 to the 24th of the same month.
This decision came after several second-division clubs took part in the third round of the Throne Cup for the 2024-2025 sporting season, a move intended to give all clubs an equal opportunity and to ensure a balanced scheduling of matches, especially those pitting second-division clubs against first-division clubs in the playoff fixtures.
The League confirmed that competition will resume on Saturday, April 25, 2026, with the start of the 22nd round of the championship, while ensuring continued monitoring of the match calendar and a smooth organization.
This temporary suspension reflects the League's commitment to achieving competitive fairness among all teams and to ensuring the stability of the championship during the upcoming period.
