Raja Protest Refereeing and Condemn Attacks on Their Supporters

Raja Club Athletic have issued an official statement expressing their strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions in their match against AS FAR, in Matchday 17 of the professional league, played on 30 April 2026.
The green club confirmed that they had sent an official letter of protest to the National Refereeing Directorate, accompanied by precise data regarding a number of refereeing incidents they deemed "unfair" and which had a direct impact on the result of the match and on the league standings.
Raja pointed out that this is the third such letter this season, without having received any reply or official clarification, which, according to the statement, raises questions about the extent to which their protests and their demands related to transparency are being taken into account.
The statement explained that the incidents behind the protest included the reversal of a penalty that had been awarded in favour of the team, the allowance of a goal for AS FAR clouded by doubts over an offside position, the disallowing of a Raja goal despite an action deemed to fall within legitimate sporting competition, as well as the failure to respect the VAR protocol in handling certain situations.
The club stressed that the repetition of such errors is no longer acceptable, especially at a decisive stage of the season, given their direct impact on the principle of equal opportunity and on the credibility of refereeing.
Raja demanded access to all the technical data related to the disputed incidents, including the official images, the technical lines and the audio recordings from the VAR room, in line with what is practised in a number of international leagues, while at the same time calling for the opening of an urgent investigation and the provision of clarifications to the sporting public.
On another note, the club expressed its strong condemnation of the acts of violence that targeted its supporters, whether around the stadium or during travel, reaffirming its categorical rejection of all behaviour that undermines the safety of fans and infrastructure, and declaring its full solidarity with its supporters, while wishing the injured a swift recovery.
Raja Club Athletic concluded their statement by affirming their respect for the national football institutions and their constant concern to protect the image of the national league and to defend the principles of integrity and fair competition.
