Reda Tagnaouti: We Will Do Everything to Win the CAF Champions League

Moroccan international goalkeeper Reda Tagnaouti, the last line of defense for AS FAR, has affirmed his strong determination to win the CAF Champions League title, just days before facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the highly anticipated final of the continental competition.
In a statement to the official website of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Tagnaouti stressed that the military club's ambition is clear: to lift the continental trophy. "A final is not played, it is won, and we will do everything in our power to claim the title, God willing," he said.
AS FAR are enjoying a remarkable season in the Champions League, having reached the final after a tough run during which the club faced strong sides, including Egypt's Al Ahly and title holders Pyramids, on their way to a final in which they dream of adding a second continental crown to their cabinet, after their only previous triumph in 1985.
Tagnaouti's journey is an example of perseverance and resilience, as he made a strong comeback after a serious knee injury in 2023, following which he had spells at Maghreb de Fes and Moghreb Tetouan, before regaining his form this season in the AS FAR shirt.
The Moroccan goalkeeper also praised the role of his teammates within the squad, especially captain Rabie Hrimat, whom he described as "a true leader on and off the pitch," stressing that the collective experience and team spirit are among the club's greatest strengths.
African football fans are eagerly awaiting this powerful clash between AS FAR and Sundowns, a final that promises plenty of excitement and suspense, as both teams seek to claim the throne of the continent.
