Wydad: Members Demand Full Financial Audit After Aït Menna's Remarks

A group of Wydad Athletic Club members has announced the launch of legal proceedings aimed at demanding a full and independent financial audit, against the backdrop of recent media statements by club president Hicham Aït Menna, which they consider to contain false information liable to mislead public opinion and conceal the facts. The move marks an escalation that reflects the tension prevailing within the Wydad camp.
In a statement addressed to supporters and the public, the members explained that their delay in responding to the club president's remarks was not the result of hesitation or inability, but rather a deliberate choice aimed at reacting in an objective and responsible manner, far from impulsive reactions, relying on accurate data and documented figures.
The same source affirmed that this step falls within what it described as a genuine "moment of reflection", intended to draw up a precise diagnosis of the club's financial situation and to ensure sound financial management consistent with the principles of transparency and good governance, befitting the history and stature of Wydad Athletic Club.
The members further stressed that their initiative aims to enshrine the principle of linking responsibility to accountability and to guarantee the right of Wydad supporters to know the full truth, amid growing questions over the way the club's financial affairs have been managed in the recent period.
These developments come at a sensitive time for the red club, intensifying the debate among its various stakeholders, between calls for reform and the preservation of the club's stability, with a view to overcoming the current phase and putting the team back on track.
